Parkour in School
Partnering with schools in East Texas through Center-Paid or Parent-Paid programs to bring character lessons through movement right to you!
What is Parkour:
Parkour is the discipline of learning to overcome obstacles (physical and mental) and pursuing being a better version of yourself.
Why:
While students think they are learning to move like a super hero we are helping them develop character qualities like determination, grit, commitment, self-discipline and integrity. Community is a huge part of our program. We do frequent team challenges that give participants practice learning how to communicate, think about others, and problem solve. Our program centers around helping students learn to embrace the growth process in a fun physical activity of parkour which then helps them create habits in their brain to take into challenges in school and life.
How it works:
We have two options for school programs. Center-Paid or Parent- Paid.
Parent-Paid - You provide the playground and let your parents know about the program. We handle registrations and running the class.
Center-Paid - You contract us by hour to provide weekly classes at your location for a set amount of your students. We have two payment options depending on how many students you have participating each hour. A small class (1-6 participants) is $100 an hour. A large classes (10+ participants and capped at 30) is $200 an hour. For larger schools and programs with well over 30 students wanting to participate we will work out an individualized discount plan per hour.

Due to coach availability and our commitment to quality over quantity we have limited time spots for school and after school programs. We are setting up our Fall schedule now!
Our Character Pillars:
Team Work
Inspired by the Yamakasi who helped develop the discipline of parkour, our goal as parkour practitioners is to be "fit to be useful". This means using our fitness (physically and mentally) to help others have a better day. We practice this through frequent team challenges during class time and in how we interact and talk to each other in and out of class.
Embrace the Growth Process
Parkour gives students a clear example of the growth process. The first time you do parkour most likely you won't be able to jump on a rail and stay balanced. However, if you practice jumping on a wider obstacle and slowly make it smaller and smaller, one day you will be able to land on a rail. You also don't start on a rail 6 feet high. But if you practice enough on a rail on the ground one day you may get a jump1 foot high, and another day 2 feet high and eventually a 6 feet high jump. Experiencing this process in a fun environment about physical challenges helps students understand when something is hard in life and school if they keep practicing they will improve and one day be good at it.

Parkour is a mindset. My boys see the world a little differently now that they are doing parkour. They look for opportunities to grow and challenge themselves. They encourage each other and look for ways to include and encourage others. Both boys know how to look for obstacles and how to over come them - not just in parkour, but in school. The leadership training has also been invaluable. As they grow into interns and now coaching, their communication skills have increased, as well as, their ability to plan and execute a group activity. They value feedback and are look for ways to improve both themselves and the group. To say we love parkour is an understatement!"
Parent of Current Student and Assistant Coach
"ParkourETX is a gem in the middle of the Piney Woods. Our son has been part of this program a year a half. Not only have we noticed growth in his physical abilities, but we truly witness his development of character. Our son has trained with most of the coaches on staff. Each of them are exceptionally attentive and encouraging. He has learned specific physical skills— his favorites are balancing and traversing! The parkour community supports kids, teens, and adult to self assess to improve themselves. Our son has now moved into a program that focuses on developing future leaders and assistant coaches. Coach Hannah is teaching life skills that he will use forever— problem solving, conflict resolution, confidence, and much more…"
