Who are the Low Support MAND classes for?

Nov 05, 2024

MAND stands for Modified and NeuroDivergent. These classes provide parkour instruction in a smaller setting with more room for modifications for activities as well as additional verbal prompts and support for redirection.

Who would be a good fit for Low Support MAND?

  • An ADHD student who is working on controlling their impulses, but currently unable to participate without frequent redirection.
  • A student who is currently unable to stand in a line and wait for their turn.
  • A student who has had several bad experiences in team sports or other setting due to struggles fitting in with the flow of how everyone else was functioning.
  • A student that benefits from extra processing time or the coach visually walking them through each activity.
  • A student that is almost ready for Level 1, but the parent is concerned that might be too overwhelming.
  • A student who has never exercised before and would enjoy a slightly slower paced class as an intro into movement.

Students can move from a MAND class to a Level 1 class when they are ready and the coach feels like the transition would set the child up for success.
