The Investment Resulting in "I Found My Thing"
Nov 11, 2024As parents we want the best for our children. We want them to see the greatness we see in them. We want them to know that they are capable of so much. We want them to be successful and have a life they enjoy and have great purpose in living.
All too often it seems like the world has a completely separate agenda. I don't think any one person is doing it on purpose, but if you look at the results it sure can feel that way as a parent. Social Media, peer pressure, FOMO, cliques, intra-personal struggles and inner-personal struggles and so much else. It seems like every next turn anxiety is rising, lack of confidence is rampant, and feelings of not being worth it, discouragement, emotional weight, feeling like "I don't fit in" and so many more negative thoughts are filling up the minds' of children today. These thoughts and emotions are the OPPOSITE of what we want our children thinking and the OPPOSITE of how we want them to feel as a parent.
This is why it is so powerful when a child tries parkour and realizes "I found my thing". This thought whether verbalized or merely a faint thought in your child's head is the catalyst for a wave of positive emotions and thoughts and new inspirations and goals. Knowing you have "your thing" and knowing you fit and are welcomed and accepted just as you are bring powerful confidence and purpose to a child.
